Future city transit could be autonomous, electric and modular

The use of modular designs could standardise future city commercial vehicles. Jack Hunsley talks to Scania about its NXT concept

For many years the term ‘commercial vehicles’ has encompassed a broad range of vehicle types. With anything from small delivery vans to long haul heavy-duty trucks falling under the term, there has been plenty of room for almost every model type and powertrain imaginable in the sector. However, in the future, this may not be the case.
