Generation X – Cummins’ latest weapon in the verticalisation battle

Cummins has unveiled its latest generation of on-highway engines for the North American market. The platform – dubbed the X-series – is constituted of two variants of a 15-litre plant and a 12-litre mid-bore product, and in the face of increasingly challenging market conditions, the launch has perhaps more significance than usual.
