Jeep globalisation gains momentum with production plans for India

With the sales launch of the Jeep brand in India set for 2015, FCA has now decided to invest US$280m in its Ranjangaon JV to build a Jeep model locally

Chrysler's Jeep brand has long been interested in the Indian automotive market. The OEM's plans in this regard first came to light early in 2011, following a study in which it identified China and India as regions of growth for the 2011-2020 period.
