GM’s Barra sees dual paths to autonomy

Revolutionary and evolutionary paths can both lead to fully autonomous driving, according to GM CEO Mary Barra

The move towards autonomous driving is gaining pace and nobody wants to get left behind. Tesla has just raised the bar with the launch of its 'Autopilot' functionality on the Model S sedan, a system that can take over some of the more tedious aspects of driving from the driver. While Tesla is clearly positioning itself as a leader in the field of connected technology, the more mass market and mainstream OEMs are not sitting idle.
