To compete effectively in the rapidly emerging shared mobility sector, companies need scale—and BMW and Daimler now have it in spades. The two are merging their wider mobility operations  and rebranding them into five distinct services. For car-share, this means that car2go and DriveNow are becoming Share Now, an operation spanning 30 cities, 4 million customers and 20,000 vehicles. For the nascent free floating car-share industry, this is massive.
