In July 2017, Scania announced that it had invested in Sennder, a Berlin-headquartered freight matching firm, through its corporate venture capital arm Scania Growth Capital. The hefty eight-figure sum sent Sennder's way would suggest that Scania is keen to understand how its position in the industry may be affected as freight goes digital.
