For almost a century, the design of the typical personal vehicle has remained largely the same. While a vintage Model T Ford has some obvious design differences to that of a modern Ford Focus, it is still instantly recognisable as a car, even if it lacks features such as seatbelts, airbags and windows. However, in the coming decades, this could well change.
