Hydrogen-diesel combustion: a low-hanging fruit for commercial vehicles?

Hydrogen fuel may prove a useful means of emissions reduction outside of fuel cells, writes Freddie Holmes

As all eyes turn toward zero emissions alternatives to diesel and natural gas, there are still opportunities to reduce a commercial vehicle’s carbon emissions with its existing internal combustion engine (ICE). By introducing hydrogen as part of the fuel mix, fleets can easily cut their carbon footprint without committing to the purchase of a fuel cell or battery electric truck.
