ICE could fade away, but Euro 7 means it won’t burn out

The ongoing global demand for ICE makes Euro 7 an important step towards a cleaner automotive sector. By Will Girling

On 27 October 2022, the EU officially mandated that automakers must eliminate 100% of CO2 emissions from new cars and vans by 2035. Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice President of the European Commission, summed up the decision: “The agreement sends a strong signal to industry and consumers: Europe is embracing the shift to zero-emission mobility.”
