Demand increasing for intuitive connected driving technologies

Microsoft's Jörg Brakensiek says recent mass-market handset and vehicle deployments represent a major step for MirrorLink which aims to become the world’s de facto car and smartphone connectivity standard

Smartphones have given consumers access to a growing number of applications that have become considered indispensible, anytime and anywhere. But when it comes to driving, smartphone use is ill-advised. Even the most advanced infotainment systems cannot match the breadth of functionality in even the most ordinary of smartphones.

However, MirrorLink, a technology standard brought to the industry by the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) solves this problem by offering seamless connectivity between a smartphone and the car infotainment system.
