India’s government ‘keen’ to improve vehicle safety, says EY

Vehicle safety in India has typically lagged behind other countries, but could soon change dramatically with government influence. By Michael Nash

According to data from the Indian government, over 140,000 people were killed on country’s roads during 2015, which marked a 4.6% increase on the previous year. This could soon change, as authorities are looking to put in new measures to improve the active and passive safety features of new vehicles as well as tackle general road safety.
