Industry voices weigh ‘unfeasible’ EU zero-emissions targets

A massive transition to zero commercial emissions is underway in the EU, but it won’t be easy. By Lee Monks

The EU is pushing hard for a cleaner environment. As part of that drive, it’s looking to place zero-emission targets on many commercial vehicles by 2035. The revised targets, fully ratified at the end of March 2023, demand zero-emission new city buses by 2030 and a 90% decrease in new heavy-duty vehicle emissions by 2040.
