In July 2015, Elektrobit (EB) was acquired by Continental and consolidated as a standalone software company, with the idea that EB would retain a strong degree of freedom to innovate.
At the time, Helmut Matschi, Head of Continental’s Interior division, remarked that software was developing into “the single biggest enabler of innovation in the car.”
Appointed on 1 June 2016, Andreas Heim joined EB as Executive Vice President of Operations, and oversees
