Nuance is developing an intelligent personal assistant for the car, building on the latest advances in connectivity and voice control. Its Dragon Drive system learns individual driver preferences to improve delivery of requested content, from music selection and phone calls to driving directions to restaurant reservations. Future developments promise even greater intelligence and functionality. Charles Ortiz, Director of Artificial Intelligence, works out of Nuance's Sunnyvale office in California, spearheading developments there.
