Silicon Valley-based Symphony Teleca Corporation (STC) believes that by 2020, 60% of vehicles will be connected cars. Driving this shift is the convergence of consumers, who demand connectivity amongst all of their devices, and OEMs, who recognise the revenue opportunity associated with the Internet of Things.
STC has been collaborating with companies such as Intel to offer OEMs in-vehicle infotainment systems that can speed up the movement toward the connected car. Automotive World spoke to Senior Vice President of the company’s automotive division to discuss the partnerships the company has established to increase its position in the connected car world.
