VTNA's head of Product Marketing talks to Automotive World about Volvo's telematics offering, Remote Diagnostics

Truck telematics is helping fleets optimise operations and make real-time operational decisions based on the availability of information coming from the vehicle. The constant increase and evolution of truck fleet telematics has gone hand in hand with advances in technology and increasingly challenging commercial and regulatory environments. Telematics is no longer a nicety, but a necessity.

Automotive World spoke to Wade Long, Director, Product Marketing at Volvo Trucks North America (VTNA), for a recent report entitled Truck fleet telematics – a world of opportunity, to understand more about Volvo’s telematics offering, Remote Diagnostics, which the OEM says it has fitted in more than 40,000 Volvo trucks in the US and Canada.
