More than 40% of the 3.67 million new cars sold in Japan in 2021 were battery electric powered, according to the Japan Automobile Dealers Association. As such, the nation makes a logical choice for battery manufacturer Factorial, based in Woburn, Massachusetts, to continue its global expansion.
