Japanese OEMs expand in Indonesia

With sales in Indonesia and its ASEAN neighbours expected to grow, Japanese OEMs have been expanding their operations in the country. The latest to do this is Suzuki

The decline in Thailand's automotive market has played right into the hands of other major automotive markets in the ASEAN region, especially Indonesia. A Frost & Sullivan forecast for this country suggests a 5% increase in new vehicle sales in 2015, compared with 2014 levels, at 1.27 million units.
