Liquid nitrogen moves from cooling to primary power

Dearman’s vision of a cleaner future, powered in part by liquid nitrogen (LiN), is coming slowly into focus. The CE Power project, operated under an Innovate UK consortium, has just wrapped up, slightly later than scheduled but bringing with it valuable insights into the operation of a diesel-LiN hybrid engine in a bus – a first for the industry.
