Macros favour solid momentum for Australia’s CV segment

Rivalry may be fierce but volumes are growing. It's good news for local truck manufacturers, writes Megan Lampinen

Australia's commercial vehicles (CVs) face some of the toughest operating environments, but it's a lucrative market for those that get it right, and it's about to become even more lucrative. The segment is poised for solid growth over the next few years, buoyed in part by a strong construction sector and infrastructure investments. In fact, BMI Research expects CV growth to outpace passenger car sales momentum during the 2017-2021 forecast period.
