Mandated or not, truck industry must lead ADAS adoption

Globally, 1.25 million road traffic incidents occur every year and 3,278 people die every day, with low- and middle-income nations being the worst hit. In the US, approximately 500,000 trucking accidents occur each year and approximately 5,000 result in fatalities. In fact, one in eight road fatalities involves a trucking collision. Besides injuries and fatalities, there is also an economic cost associated with road crashes.
