Suzuki's Indian subsidiary, Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL), has commenced initial ground work at a new site in Gujarat, its second in the western Indian state. Maruti's plans for its first plant in Gujarat, at Mehsana, entail an investment of Rs40bn (US$726m).
