Specially designed apps on smartphones and tablets could play a greater role in helping fleet operators turn a profit. By Michael Nash

Mobile apps are playing a greater role in the automotive industry. Many new passenger vehicles today are iOS or Android friendly, allowing users to download apps directly via the infotainment system and connect their vehicle to their smartphone. The commercial vehicle (CV) segment could also benefit from connectivity and the increased deployment of mobile apps.
