Many car passengers experience motion sickness; according to one 2020 study, 46% of people had experienced it at some point in the last five years. It is by no means universal—some passengers experience intense motion sickness that leaves them nauseated, some might feel mildly ill, while others can go through life without experiencing motion sickness at all.
