NAFTA rewrite: Mexican output risks soften

Some industry analysts now believe initial fears of a plunge in Mexican vehicle production may be 'overblown', writes Megan Lampinen

Some strong language has been bandied about by US government players as they outline plans to revamp the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). Years of losing out on new investment as projects migrated to low-cost Mexico has left some groups angry, worried and determined to write new rules for the game. Completely different rules, according to US Trade Representative (USTR) Robert Lighthizer.
