The automotive industry is reeling from a chronic shortage of silicon semiconductors, which are used to support an array of advanced functions in new vehicles. The opening of a huge new factory from Bosch would appear to come at an opportune time. In fact, the start of production was in fact brought forward by six months in direct response to the issue. The hope is that this could help relieve some of the strain on manufacturers.
