Nexteer establishes core engineering unit in Poland

The steering supplier is strengthening both its manufacturing and R&D capabilities in Europe, and preparing for the future of steering. By Xavier Boucherat

Automotive manufacturing growth continues in the Central Eastern European region. Yangfeng Automotive Interiors has announced it will build a new facility in Plana nad Luznici, Czech Republic. The new plant, scheduled to begin operation in 2018, will manufacture interior components including instrument and door panels for future models. Meanwhile, a recent report from BMI Research suggests that Mercedes-Benz is considering a site in Poland for its next manufacturing facility, as it looks to localise production through Europe.
