Nissan Q1 wipeout shouldn’t have surprised

A substantial increase in selling expenses and weaker sales meant Nissan barely broke even, writes Jonathan Storey

Does Nissan's HQ not talk to its national sales organisations (NSOs)? Or do those NSO's fail to give Nissan HQ an accurate picture? Without one of these explanations it's hard to understand the disconnect between the company's forecasts and its actual results.
