NXP kicks off 2016 with 52% revenue boost

As NXP progresses with the integration of Freescale, sales are shooting up thanks to strong – and growing – automotive demand. By Freddie Holmes

Amid the integration of an US$11.8bn merger, NXP has increased Q1 2016 revenue by 52% year-on-year. At US$2.22bn, this also represents a 38% rise over the prior quarter (Q4 2015). What’s more, high-performance mixed signal electronics (HPMS) segment revenue hit US$1.9bn, a 73% rise from last year and up 46% from Q4 2015.
