Pirelli collaboration targets greener tyres and roads

One billion end-of-life tyres are discarded globally each year, with four billion already languishing in landfills and stockpiles, according to a 2022 World Business Council for Sustainable Development report. A May 2021 article from online clean technology publication AZoCleantech suggests that the US alone is responsible for around 300 million waste tyres each year.
