Artificial intelligence (AI) is making its way into almost all aspects of the vehicle as functions become increasingly autonomous. From basic advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to self-driving vehicles, they all hinge on processing power — considerable processing power. Some industry observers suggest it will take years to develop enough processing power to handle the more advanced in-car AI applications.
