Proton to assemble rebadged Suzuki vehicles

Suzuki has entered into an agreement with Proton, whereby the Malaysian OEM will assemble Suzuki vehicles from knocked-down kits and sell it under the Proton brand

Japanese vehicle manufacturer Suzuki originally entered the Malaysian automotive market in late 2004, with the establishment of Suzuki Malaysia Automobile in December of that year. The rationale behind this move was to import and market Suzuki vehicles in the country.
