Reports point to potential car-sharing boom in China

The car-sharing market could have a significant impact on the Chinese vehicle market in the long-term, but short- and medium-term implications look minimal. By Freddie Holmes and Michael Nash

By 2035, 21% of the total global vehicle fleet will be used as part of a mobility service, such as car-sharing or ride-hailing platforms. This projection is made in a recent Navigant Research report, and many other market predictions also point to significant growth in the car-sharing trend.
