Cars are becoming increasingly intelligent and are moving more towards being computers on wheels. It has been widely reported that consumers want the power of their smartphone available in their cars, but although technologies enabling infotainment are popular, a Kelley Blue Book report shows that car buyers rank safety features as ‘must have’ technologies for a new purchase.
In the top ten must have technologies for a car buyer’s new purchase, USB or auxiliary ports rated as the number one ‘must have’ feature, with 43% of consumers choosing this, but throughout the rest of the ten, safety-related technologies were predominantly found.
