Although the large majority of drivers support laws prohibiting mobile phone use while driving, many drivers continue to use them behind the wheel.
Insurance, financial services and automotive safety company State Farm surveyed consumers about when they were more or less likely to use their phones when driving. Among drivers who indicated they use their mobile phone while driving, more were likely to use their mobile phone when stopped at a red light (63%) than on an open highway (30%).
