SCR technology vital for Euro 6.2, says PSA

The next round of change to emissions legislation for Europe is slated to take effect during September 2017.  Testing procedures will change, as the implementation of real driving emissions (RDE) examination aims to increase accuracy and credibility, and new cars will not be able to exceed nitrogen oxide (NOx) levels of 168mg/km.

Some, including PSA Peugeot Citroen, have called the new requirements Euro 6.2. The company has been examining the impact of technologies on NOx, and believes Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) will be vital in meeting the upcoming targets.
