Smart highways limited by lack of connected tech

‘Smart highway’ is a broad term that encompasses several use cases. A road that weighs commercial vehicles automatically could technically qualify, as could a stretch of tarmac that has in-built wireless electric vehicle charging functionality. However, in the context of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication, the term covers connected solutions designed to improve highway efficiency and safety.
