Software roadblocks hit VW Trinity timeline

German media report that the long-anticipated highly automated electric vehicle will be delayed yet again. By Megan Lampinen

The transition to the software-defined vehicle (SDV) continues to prove more difficult than many expected as more launch delays emerge at Volkswagen. Software headaches at its Cariad software division have previously held back launches for certain models, including the Volkswagen ID.3, the Porsche Macan, and the Audi Q6 e-tron. Now they’ve hit Project Trinity.
