Tata Motors trucks to be assembled in Malaysia

With increased Japanese competition crowding it in Thailand, Tata Motors is looking at other options to expand in the ASEAN region

The automotive market in Malaysia reached an all-time high in 2014, rising to 666,465 units, according to the Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA). This compared with sales of 655,793 vehicles in 2013. For the current year, sales are expected to rise even higher, up to approximately 680,000 vehicles.
