Tenneco CEO ‘pleased with progress’ despite sluggish aftermarket

Tenneco's top executives highlight the challenges and progress seen in the third quarter, and share their predictions for future developments.

Tenneco wrapped up strong third quarter as adjusted net income jumped 26% year-on-year to US$78m and revenue rose 6% to set a Q3 record at US$2.081bn. Both of its product lines enjoyed growth in the latest three-month period, with Clean Air revenue increasing 8% and Ride Performance up 2%. OE light vehicle revenue increased 6% year-over-year, outpacing global industry light vehicle production, while commercial truck and off-highway revenue grew 15%, though global aftermarket revenue remained essentially flat.
