Tesla posts brittle Q3 recovery ahead of robotaxi reveal

Tesla regained some ground in Q3 2024, but with more challenges incoming, it is looking to robotaxis for future success. By Stewart Burnett

Tesla posted its Q3 2024 delivery and production numbers on 2 October. The automaker delivered 462,890 electric vehicles (EVs), a moderate increase from 435,059 in the same quarter last year and the 444,000 delivered in Q2 2024. It also produced 469,796 vehicles, up from 430,000 in Q3 2023 and 410,831 in Q2 2024.
