Toyota affirms faith in Europe’s taste for hybrids

Toyota will invest US$9.9m in its Deeside engine plant, which will supply Turkey with hybrid engines for a new C-segment crossover. By Xavier Boucherat

Toyota’s C-HR concept was unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA), and the OEM has since confirmed that a production version of the C-segment crossover will be unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Whilst the full range of engine types has not been confirmed, a hybrid model will be available from the outset.
