Toyota says diesel’s days are numbered, hybrids to succeed

Toyota believes in offering choice for its customers. To that end, the OEM plans to maintain a wide selection of powertrain options. However, speaking to Automotive World, a Toyota executive suggests that if one option is to be vetoed it will be the diesel, with hybrid taking its place.
