Toyota's upmarket Lexus brand is positioning itself to take advantage of an expected boom in Turkey's luxury market. It plans to launch in the country in the fourth quarter of this year, starting with a showroom in Istanbul. As Alain Uyttenhoven, Head of Lexus Europe, pointed out, the country's premium market is expected to grow from around 80,000 units this year to more than 100,000 units in the near future.
