More money to move the metal as US incentives and inventory swell

SUVs and pick-ups remain hot, but car demand continues to dwindle and OEMs are working harder than ever to maintain volumes. By Megan Lampinen

US light vehicle volumes in February came in ahead of many analysts' expectations at about 17.5-17.6 million SAAR. Kelley Blue Book had been expecting 17.1 million SAAR though Edmunds was spot on with its call for 17.6 million. While this marks a 17% jump from January 2017, February figures are down 1% year-on-year (YoY).
