With wireless technology gaining greater significance in vehicles, by way of infotainment systems and other technologies, there have been increasing concerns about security and privacy. Earlier this week, US Senator Edward J Markey sent letters to 20 major vehicle manufacturers operating in the country, requesting information as to what steps these OEMs have taken in order to protect their customers from cyber attacks and violations of privacy.
