Volvo’s autonomous interior concept could be transferred to future models

Based on the existing SPA platform, the interior concept could be a realistic peek at the OEM’s future driverless cars

Named to reflect the average number of minutes commuters spend stuck in traffic each morning, the Volvo Concept 26 interior provides a glimpse at the OEM’s plans for autonomous driving.

Revealed at the 2015 LA Auto Show, the concept was not shown inside a vehicle body. However, it is based on the current SPA vehicle platform, which underpins models such as the XC90. This means that although it is a concept, it is capable of being adapted to any future Volvo car.
