Megan Lampinen speaks to research organisation RAND Corp about its predicted scenarios for mobility in the US in 2030

Think US mobility, think Route 66. Think large SUVs and pick-ups alongside a peppering of Mustangs and Camaros, all powered by cheap gasoline. America's love affair with the automobile is well documented, and today ownership rates stand at about 811 cars per 1,000 people. In comparison, India has 22 cars per 1,000 people.
