The penetration of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in the passenger car segment remains relatively low, despite the fact that several OEMs are now offering these systems as standard on new models. While greater levels of adoption could result in making vehicles safer for drivers and occupants, the biggest impact will likely be on the safety of vulnerable road users like cyclists and pedestrians.
