In future, new cars will ultimately be able to drive themselves from point A to point B easily, safely and efficiently.
However, with the car becoming less of a machine for drivers to control and simply a form of transport, there are doubts in the industry that drivers will ‘connect’ with their cars in the same way as before. Bosch’s Dirk Hoheisel, Member of the Board of Management and responsible for systems integration activities of the Mobility Solutions business sector, addressed the concept of ‘driver disconnection’ during his presentation at the Bosch Automotive Press Briefing 2015 in Boxberg, Germany.
